What steps must be taken to register my Industrial Design?

Define the Industrial Design

Have a clear idea of the desired design. If you are not sure, we will help you decide at no charge.

Know which products or services the design will be intended for. If you do not know how, we will advise you, also at no charge.

Escriboo will conduct a preliminary study on the feasibility of registering the design. Up to this point, we are not yet discussing fees.

Where will my Industrial Design be protected?

Depending on the territorial coverage desired, Escriboo will assist you and register the Trademark with the following entities:

scope. If what is desired is a registration covering Spanish territory, it is registered with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, OEPM, which is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of the Government of Spain. Industrial Design Registration with Community scope

As it involves protection coverage in all countries that are and will be part of the European Union, the registration is carried out with the EUIPO, the European Union Intellectual Property Office. You can consult its website www.euipo.europa.eu

Industrial Design Registration with international scope

The registration application is administered and coordinated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) through the International Designs System known as the Hague System, which offers a practical solution for registering up to 100 designs in more than 74 contracting parties covering 91 countries by filing a single international application.
